Reckon's calculators run entirely in your browser. What you type into a calculator — bill amounts, loan balances, salary figures, and so on — is never sent to or stored on any server. Closing the tab or refreshing the page clears it. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no tracking of what you calculate.
Your light/dark mode preference is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time you visit. This stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
The Cross-Currency Split tool fetches live exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (frankfurter.dev), a free public exchange-rate service. When you use that specific tool, your browser makes a direct request to their servers for current rates — no personal data is included in that request beyond the currency codes you selected. Frankfurter's own privacy practices apply to that request; Reckon doesn't control or see the response beyond displaying it.
Reckon may display ads served by third-party ad networks, which can use cookies or similar technology to show relevant ads and measure performance. If and when ads are active on this site, this section will be updated with specifics on the ad provider, what data they collect, and how to opt out or manage ad personalization, along with any consent tools required for visitors in your region.
Reckon itself does not use cookies. Third-party services embedded on the site (such as an ad network, if and when added) may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
Reckon is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
